Google is Buzz’n

Today Google has officially released Google Buzz. Google Buzz is built in to Gmail and is a new method that allows you to share video, pictures and other updates. Buzz connects with other social media sites such as Twitter, Flikr and Picasa and aggregates all information on whoever you are following all in one place.

An interesting topic at the Google press conference talked about how Buzz content would be indexed. You can be sure that when we have a few spare moments we will be experimenting with Google’s new Buzz service. go and check out buzz.google.com for further information.

Google and Twitter Team Up

It has just recently been announced that Google has reached a partnership with Twitter and will now be featuring Tweets within the search results. Microsoft’s new search engine Bing will also begin to display Twitter results.

The bigger news here is that Google will also be developing a real time search for Twitter.

Twitter Search To Become More Relevant

There are reports from news.com that the engineers at Twitter are working diligently to improve the relevance of Twitter Search. They are set to incorporate a ranking engine that will have the ability to detect links and the link contents.

In my opinion Twitter search will never be a rival of Google and everyone out there should stop with all the comparisons. With that said, an improved Twitter search with a means of deciphering reputation and Trending topics will greatly benefit the usability for all users.

Twitter Launches New Interface

Twitter has officially launched a brand new interface with some terrific new options. In your sidebar along the right hand see you can now see new options including trending and search topics.

You no longer have to manually type search.twitter.com into the address bar every time you want to conduct a search of Twitter. You can now enter in your search terms right there and also have the convenience of saving those searches.

The great part about the new Twitter Trends option is that “if you are interested” it will shows you what other people are discussing around the Twittersphere.
