Google and Twitter Team Up

It has just recently been announced that Google has reached a partnership with Twitter and will now be featuring Tweets within the search results. Microsoft’s new search engine Bing will also begin to display Twitter results.

The bigger news here is that Google will also be developing a real time search for Twitter.

Google Launches Search Options

Yesterday Google announced the official launch of Search Options. The main objective of Search Options is to provide searchers with a quick and easy way to refine their results. The impact this new tool will have on website owners will be about the same as Universal Search.

It is now more critical than ever to be sure that you are optimizing your website for Universal Search including video, rss feeds, images, local etc. If you have already began optimizing for universal search the new Search Options feature will not really have that big of an impact on your site, but if you haven’t. Gmail Gearing Towards Full Launch?

Gmail, the web mail service provided to you by Google has been in its testing or beta phase for more than 2 years.

Since Gmail’s unofficial launch in April of 2004, it has added tons of new features and has raised the invitations that come along with opening a new account from 4 to 50.

There has been no word of an official full launch date but with such new features as integrated Google Talk as well as automatic forwarding and an unprecedented 2746 MB of storage, you would think that a full release date should be right around the corner.

Google Steps on Some Toes With Google Spreadsheets

In the near future Google is planning to launch Google Spreadsheets. This new program will undoubtedly be integrated in to the AdWords interface. There are several individuals who will not be too happy with this new product including and probably above all Mr. Bill Gates. As stated by rustybrick over at Search Engine Roundtable their are many small companies who have developed web based alternatives to Microsoft Excel over the last few years who are also not going to be to happy with the launch of Google Spreadsheets.
